European Innovation Week

The 3rd of European Innovation Week (EIW) successfully gathered more than 100 industry leaders, 12 industrial clusters from EU Member States, as well as more than 1600 Taiwanese participants to join over 10 seminars, workshops, roundtable business meetings, cluster & business match-making, companies visiting and networking from 29 May to 2 June. It was a joint initiative of the European Commission and Taiwan Governmental Agencies, and more than 30 co-organizers; such as European Economic Trade office (EETO), European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan(ECCT); European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP); Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Taiwan(CCIFT); Wallonia Export-Investment Agency…from the EU and Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan; Department of Industrial Technology, MoEA; Industrial Development Bureau, MoEA; Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI); Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research(CIER); Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) ;Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA); Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association(TMBA);Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)…from Taiwan. The topics were covering circular economy, hydrogen, semiconductor, robotics, Space, 6G connectivity, Horizon Europe, and Innovation Startups and were focused on the collaboration opportunities between the EU and Taiwan. The EIW series event was opened by Ms. Maive Rute, Deputy Director General, Director General of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, SMEs (DG-Grow), European Commission, Ms. Wang Mei-Hua, Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. CHEN Chien-Jen, Premier of Executive Yuan. Speakers of seminars and workshops included high-level representatives from the European Commission, industrial leaders, and experts from different domain sectors to share the latest concept of EU industrial development, regulations and standards, business opportunities, to further deepen the cooperation between Taiwan and the EU. The EIW showcased the collaboration opportunities between the EU and Taiwan, as both sides share common values and a common vision of a green and sustainable future” said Filip Grzegorzewski, head of European Economic Trade Office (EETO).
