2023 EU-Taiwan Investment Partnership Forum on Semiconductor Clusters
Chips are strategic assets for key industrial value chains. With the digital transformation, new markets for the chip industry are emerging, such as highly automated cars, the cloud, the Internet of Things, connectivity, space, defence and supercomputers. With the European Chips Act, the EU will mobilise more than €43 billion of public and private investments to strengthen its semiconductors ecosystem, increase its resilience and reduce external dependencies. The EU is looking to build semiconductor international partnerships with like-minded partners like Taiwan to strengthen its technology leadership and double its share of global chip production to 20% by 2030. The European Economic and Trade Office (EETO), with the EU Member States Representative Offices in Taiwan, will organise the “2023 EU-Taiwan Investment Partnership Forum on Semiconductor Clusters” on 7 September 2023 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 2. The event will gather Taiwanese experts to share their experience in investing in Europe and also representatives from European semiconductor clusters of EU Member States to introduce their industrial ecosystem, development and investment opportunities. Do not miss out on this opportunity to learn more about the strategies of Member States under the European Chips Act and incentives for companies with advanced manufacturing processes looking to invest in the EU.
